The Bear and The Bug, and their little Sister: The Bug's Party

We had Wyatt's First (can you believe it??) Birthday Party last Saturday, and somehow I've been too busy to post anything since then. It was a great time, as far as baby party's go. He enjoyed the company of Guima, PaPa, Grammy, Aunt Anne, Tristan, Aunt Megan, and Uncle Jess, but missed those who could not be there! Opening his presents was actually quite the highlight. He got excited about every one of them, and is still enjoying playing with all of HIS new toys! Noah is still not into sharing. We'll see after he has watched Wyatt's new "Learn to Share" Sesame Street DVD for the zillionth time since the party!!

Then came the cake. For those of you who were not at Noah's birthday party, I made him a giraffe cake. He still talks about it today. After my first 4 hour decorating experience, I decided that it was worth it again to make one for Wyatt's birthday. So, three hours later, here is the final product! I am quite proud of my creations, although they are somehow consumed in a matter of minutes!! I have found a super-yummy dairy-free, egg-free chocolate cake recipe, so my boys and I can enjoy birthdays (as well as everyone else!)!
