You've come a long way, baby!

(few hours)

(1 day)

(6 months)

(one year)

Oh my sweet baby, how can you possibly have been with us for a year now? Just a year ago, we were waiting, rather impatiently, for your arrival. It seems so amazing to think we didn't know who you were then. Were you a girl or a boy? Would you be as stubborn as your big brother? Would you be snuggly and love to be held? Would you like sleeping alone or with Mommy?

Now just a year later, you are a beautiful, happy baby boy with quite a temper, who loves to be held and snuggled, but does not like to lay in bed with Mommy. You are such a busy boy, so curious and interested in how everything works! You eat paper, you love climbing the stairs when no one is watching, you have gotten into every cupboard in the kitchen, you pull all of Noah's books off his bookshelf daily and try to tear up all of his favorite Sesame Street magazines...no wonder we call you "trouble." Your poor brother has to go through an obstacle course just to get into the bathroom (silly sliding pocket door that we can't figure out how to childproof). The kitty makes you laugh on a daily basis, just by walking through a room. You love to eat Cheerios. Peek a Boo is your new favorite game, and you love it when Mommy sings "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to you before you go to sleep every night. You get so excited when Daddy gets home from work, squealing and kicking your legs! Daddy loves that, Mommy does too! You are starting to stand on your own and have taken a couple steps, but for now you just love crawling as fast as you can. You now point at everything and want me to tell you what it is, with your little grunts. Everything is "wow" to you lately, and we all love to hear you say it! The lights and ornaments on the Christmas tree make you happy. You love to look at pictures of your family and yourself. You still like to be swaddled to go to sleep at night, otherwise you scratch up your face, which is another of your favorite activities! You hate goodbyes, and anytime Mommy leaves a room. You cry at dinner almost every night, and sometimes won't let anyone other than Mommy feed you your dinner. I think you and Daddy must have a deal, so he can eat a hot meal!! You LOVE your big brother, even though he doesn't always share with you. He loves to make you laugh, and you love to see him laugh too. You two are going to be the best of buddies! When we drop Noah off at school, you always get a big hug and kiss goodbye from him. Sometimes, you even wave and blow kisses back to him! You have been giving kisses lately, open mouth ones that actually end up being licks (but I still love it). Eskimo kisses make you laugh and giggle hysterically, so does tickling. You have come so far in just a year, from a little snuggly baby to a big wiggly boy. It has gone so fast!

Oh, my sweet baby, I cannot imagine our family without you, I cannot remember our family before you. You bring sunshine into our everyday, and a greater love than we ever thought was imaginable. You are such a wonderful blessing to us, and Mommy and Daddy are the luckiest people in the world to get to be your parents! We love you with all of our hearts, forever and always. Happy 1st Birthday, Wyatt-bug! I can't wait to spend so many wonderful birthdays with you.

I'm having trouble with the picture tags being lined up with the pictures! Very frustrating. Soon I'll get the hang of this. :) Let me know if you guys are actually looking at this!! Thanks.

Wow! as Wyatt would say. This is a great way to chronicle your thoughts abut the boys and their growth.
I wish this had been an option when I had all of you...but I still know I would have had a hard time keeping up with things.
Happy Birthday, Wyatt. How can you possibly be one already!
I love you...Guima
