Mother's Day, slightly late

I feel bad because I realized that I never wrote anything about my mother's day this year. This one has probably been my best one yet, since it is the first year that Noah actually knew it was a special day! Jeff let me sleep in, and I actually got to sleep until 10am (I wasn't sure if given the opportunity, I'd still be able to sleep late). When I got up, Noah was so excited to give me his gift that he had been saving since Thursday from school for me. It was nicely wrapped in a gift bag waiting until Sunday arrived, and I was good and didn't even peek! :) So, after breakfast, Noah gave me his gift. He had first drawn a picture, which was made into a plate. Then his class made trivets for their moms with their handprints on them. It is SO cute, although I don't want to use it and ruin it!

Then, Noah helped me make my garden stone, which was actually supposed to be my gift from them last year, but never got made. So, we made it this year, and I am so happy at how it turned out. After it is completely set, I have to find the perfect place to put it.

This weekend we finally got to work on our yard. After a full week of rain, we got to get outside this weekend, which was good for all of us. I had to work on Friday night, so when I got up around 2 on Saturday afternoon, we got all of our beds edged, and started putting down our 40 bags of mulch. We finished it up on Sunday afternoon, and I have to say, it looks awesome! We were both so amazed at how much better our whole yard looks. So, I now have plenty of nice spots to choose between for my new garden stone!

Wyatt has decided for the past two days to cry in his crib instead of nap. He also likes to whimper and whine for at least 2 of the middle of the night hours instead of sleep. Mommy and Daddy are already tired of it! I'm not sure what his deal is. He just finished up round 3 of antibiotics for his ear infection, and both of his eye teeth on top have poked through. So, I'm not sure if it is the gums hurting, or if his ear infection is STILL here. Needless to say, I am so tired of the crying and whining. I've had enough...he is crying in his highchair right now as I type. I think we'll be attempting another nap, or maybe a walk around the neighborhood.

Tomorrow is zoo day with preschool. Noah is so happy to be going with his friends. It should be a fun time. Other than that, things are just same old, same old here. Time to go deal with the crab now.
