So....back to where I left off!
Jeff returned safely from Japan on Tuesday night, exhausted but all in one piece. He had a great time, and Josh enjoyed having him there. We were all missing him here though. Noah was so sad about Daddy being gone, even his preschool teacher noticed how sad he seemed missing his Daddy. He wanted to stay up late to see Daddy when he got home Tuesday, but crashed before 8:00 that night! In the morning, Noah came in to wake me up and give me a hug, when he noticed that Daddy was on the other side of the bed. They just snuggled for a while...so sweet! Then, Mommy didn't exist anymore for the rest of the day (which was okay after a week of just me).
For Wyatt, it was just another day. I think he noticed that Dad wasn't around all week, but he is WAY too busy with everything else to take time out to miss Daddy! They did have some good giggle time together though.
Taking care of the two of them kept me quite busy. My parents were here over the weekend Jeff was gone helping me, helping with the bathroom project and helping my sister move. (Thank you) :) All went well with the move, and the bathroom is just about done. My dad came back on Wednesday this week to hopefully (fingers crossed) finish up!! We are so excited, it looks so good. I can't wait to do the other bathrooms now too. (I've already been told we'll have to wait, doesn't fit in the budget right now) I'll post pictures when we are all done. Right now Jeff and my Dad are reinstalling the toilet, the only thing we kept from the old bathroom.
Wyatt has continued to be right in on the action. He always has a tool in hand, and copies everything Papa does. He is definitely going to be a "mr. fix-it." He has been starting to try to talk a little bit more. This week he has mastered 'wa some' (want some), 'Tis ta' (cousin Tristan), 'sha a' (shower) and 'a duh' (all done). He still won't say Daddy though. Jeff is so sad. Soon, very soon.
Well, I actually have to go to work tonight. I hope I can survive all night. Eight AM sounds awfully far away! Can't wait to share our new and improved bathroom pics with everyone. Enjoy the weekend.
