I worked last night, and have to go back again tonight. Boy, has it been busy! I can't believe how many pregnant women and new babies are in this city. They just keep coming. It has been unbelievably busy everytime I go to work lately. Thank goodness that is much less than it was before.
Noah and Wyatt really seem to have trouble adjusting to me being 'gone' on the weekends that I work. I think part of it this weekend is that neither one of them is feeling great. We all (except Jeff, knock on wood) have bad colds that don't seem to be going away. (We may be making a trip back to the pediatrician again if they aren't getting better by Monday. I feel like we just got over that last bug that lasted for months. Hope that isn't the case this time). Anyways, they were both very crabby for Jeff today while I slept after working. As soon as I woke up, Wyatt practically jumped into my arms, and Noah was all over me telling me that he missed me SO much. (sniff, sniff) It was nice, but made me sad that they notice that I am working. I think they are so used to me being around most of the time now, that my absence is felt more. It used to be that I was gone every weekend before I cut back my hours. Working night shift has always been nice, because they never even know that I left (most of the time). But, I guess we'll all just have to get used to that since I don't plan on quitting my job!
Noah is getting excited for his birthday, the countdown is on! Now, it would probably be a good idea for me to start making the plans for his party!! I am still such a procrastinator!! He is happy that everyone is going to able to come to his party this year...he'll have all of his cousins there, Tristan, Andrew, and Matthew! It should be fun, we are just hoping for a nice day, so we don't all have to be cooped up in the house.
Well, got to go relax a little before another fun night of working. At least it is only 7 hours tonight...thank goodness for the time change!! I even get paid for the full 8 hour shift, one benefit to being on nights!!
