Noah is on his spring break from school this week. It is nice in a way to not have anyplace to be, but on the other hand, I am missing my little breaks this week. I think he is missing school too, at least his friends. Yesterday, we visited Sonia (my college friend), and her kids Nikos and Sophia. The kids had a great time playing, and Sonia and I enjoyed chatting. We also were a little angry with ourselves for not getting together more often. Once school is out for the summer, I'm sure we will be able to see each other a little more regularly.
So...for the parties. Everything went great, both at school and home. Noah loved celebrating his party with his friends at school. He shared the day with his friend, Megan, who's birthday is this week. They got to be the birthday king and queen together, which for a couple of four year olds, was pretty darn exciting. They even got to be the line leaders!!!
Then, on Saturday, we had the family party. Uncle Jess, Aunt Megan, Guima, PaPa, Grammy, Grampaw, Aunt Anne, Tristan, Aunt Jill, Uncle Mike, Andrew, and Matthew all came to his party. He spent a lot of the time leading up to the party telling me who was coming to the party and that it was 16 people! He was so excited, and I believe he was very happy with his day. It ended up being around 50 degrees out, so we were able to play outside (which was great, 16 people inside our house all day may have been a bit crowded). We grilled burgers and hot dogs, and had other picnic-y foods. Then opened gifts and had cake. All the cousins enjoyed playing with Noah's new toys, especially the new Shake N Go Speedway, although all the cars had already used up their batteries by the next day!! All in all, everyone seemed to have a good time. I'll post some pictures of our day (if blogger will let me...it's not cooperating today :P).
