My BIG boy!

Noah had his four-year well child visit at the doctor today. And much to all of our surprise, he has grown by leaps and bounds!! My scrawny little boy is actually in the 50th percentile for both height AND WEIGHT! Yes, you heard me right, his weight for the first time since he was about 3 months old is in the 50th percentile!! He is now a whopping 33 1/2 pounds, and 40 3/4 inches tall. He has grown almost 4 inches in a year, which explains all the complaints of his knees hurting in the middle of the night. I am so proud of him! He was so good at the doctor this time. He answered all of her questions himself, for the most part, and just seemed so grown up. I guess I keep forgetting how grown up he really is...he's FOUR already!! Where has the time gone?

He told me today when I was buckling him in his carseat that he "loved me SO much, to the moon and the sun and back." So sweet, and it made me get all teary, wishing I could stop time at those moments when he is so sweet and knowing that it won't last, the sweet moments or this time in his life.

Wyatt is still a little wild one. The doctor checked his ears again for me at Noah's appointment, and alas, they are still very infected. He just finished his last round of antibiotics on Saturday. So, now he is on heavy duty antibiotics, hoping they will do the job this time. Poor baby has been uncomfortable for the past 3 weeks now, which explains how ornary he has been lately! I hope that he is better soon and back to his happy self again.

This weekend we are going to visit grandparents, and I am going to my future sister in law, Megan's, bridal shower. It will be nice to get away, and we are all looking forward to seeing everyone. But before we leave tomorrow, we have new friends coming over to our house. I was brave, and invited one of Noah's classmates, Abby, over to our house. Her mom and I talk every day at preschool, and we get along great. She also has a little brother who is a little older than Wyatt. I have realized lately how difficult it is to make friends as an adult, and thought I should take a step in making a new friend. Hopefully everything will go great, and not only will Noah have a good friend, but me too! :)

Well, I must be off to bed. Busy day of playing, doing laundry, packing, and driving tomorrow!! So, good night!
