Sick, Sick, Sick

We have been hit by, yet again, another virus here! We have terrible colds. Noah woke up on Monday morning throwing up, but was fine by the afternoon. Now he has a terrible cough and a constant runny nose! Wyatt now has the constant cough and runny nose too. And so does Mommy! Oh how we love those germs! So, needless to say, I have been busy taking care of everyone. I am hoping we are now all on the mend, and can avoid any other bugs for a little while. I had to reschedule their second flu shots, from this past Thursday to next Thursday.

Noah went to preschool this week, and he just LOVES it. On Tuesday, I wasn't going to let him go, but he begged me to let him go. So, I gave in, I mean how can you discourage that?! He has come such a long way in just the four months he has been in preschool. He actually talks and plays with other kids now, and he shares, and he just seems like a happier kid. I had no idea it would make such a difference with him.

On Wednesday, he went over to Kevin's house, one of his friends from school, and they had so much fun! They played so well together, and in the entire two and a half hours we were there, they never had even a disagreement. It was great to not have to follow him around to make sure he didn't hurt anyone else, and shared toys nicely. What a relief from our last attempt at playdates last spring!! We just kind of avoided them because he was so mean to the other kids. What a change!! It was also nice for me to talk to another mom, and even nicer, her daughter had food allergies as a young child, so we had lots to talk about. Of course, Wyatt got into everything, but enjoyed trying to run around with the big boys! Soon, he will actually be able to keep up!!

Next weekend, Jeff and I have our first weekend away since before the kids were born! We are going to a "hot tub hideaway" in the Hocking Hills, and are looking forward to some quiet!! Don't get me wrong, we love our children, but a whole weekend to sleep in, not having to discipline, just relaxing...sounds great, and hopefully will re-energize both of us. My mom is coming to watch the kids, and hopefully they will be good for her. They have never been overnight without either of us there before, so I hope things go well! Hope they don't miss us too much, and most of all I hope I don't miss them SO much that it ruins our time away! :)
