Holiday Stress

So hard to find the time to post on here anymore these days. I really need to get to bed, but thought I'd post quickly to let everyone know we are still here!! Tomorrow is Noah's last day of preschool before Christmas break. It is so early this year, and I'm not sure what I am going to do with the two of them all next week!! I've been busy preparing for Noah's school party, Christmas shopping, making Christmas cards, catching up with laundry, taking Christmas pictures, etc. I feel like I can't keep up!! I'm ready to relax and enjoy the holiday season any day now.

We had a disappointing week this week with Noah. He and Wyatt had allergist appointments on Wednesday, and we were hoping that at least one of his food allergies had gone away. Poor Noah did not tolerate the allergy test very well, and screamed from the moment the test solution was on his back. His peanut allergy has worsened since his last test, and is severe enough that the allergist feels he should wear a medic alert bracelet (if he will wear it!). And unfortunately, the milk and egg allergies are also still there. This was even more traumatic to him. He said to me through his tears, "Mommy, I just wanted my milk allergy to go away." It broke my heart, and all I could do was try to say the right things and comfort him. I wish I could make everything better and normal for him. He ended up not going to school, and I took him to go pick out some movies at the library, and bought some yummy soy yogurt and soy pudding as a special treat. That cheered him up a little. He seemed to be doing much better today, although he told me many times that he does not like the allergy place and doesn't want to take that test again...not for another year.

Wyatt's test on the other hand showed no egg allergy (no milk either), but a slight one to peanuts and very slight to bananas (like Daddy). She said as long as we don't see a reaction to bananas, he can keep on eating them. Thank goodness, since he loves them! He also had his two year check up on Tuesday and is looking good. He is low on the growth chart like his big brother, but has gained 2 pounds since his 18 month appointment, and now weighs in at 24 1/2 pounds!

Well, I am off to bed now. Here is a new picture of the boys. I'll post about Wyatt's birthday soon too. Can't believe he is already TWO!
