Happy Fall!

I've been trying to post for three days now, and blogger is being difficult! Sorry for the delay in my posting yet again...

We went to the pumpkin patch last Saturday and the kids had so much fun. We went on the hayride, fed the sheep and goats, put our heads through cute cut-outs, and picked out our pumpkins. A nice way to welcome fall!!

Halloween should be fun with them this year. Noah wants to be a pirate again, and Wyatt will be a dinosaur. Hopefully our usual Halloween tradition of the annual "candy exchange" after trick-or-treating (trading the candy they got in their baskets for our safe treats at home) will go as well as it has in other years. So far that has worked with Noah every year, and as long as he is getting candy in the end, he is happy!! Wyatt on the other hand, Mr. Ornery, may not be quite as happy about it! Oh to some day not have these allergies would be wonderful!!

I am kind of excited because I just found out about a food allergy support group that meets in our area. I guess it has only been around for about a year now, so it didn't exist back almost 4 years ago when I was actually looking for one! I hope to be able to try out a meeting next month. They have an online support group also, so I plan to keep checking things out there. One of the moms from preschool with another child with allergies told me about it. It will be nice to hear others talk about going through the same things we have been going through all of these years, and maybe get some ideas of how to make things easier for our boys and us! They are actually having a food-free Halloween party for the kids at the end of the month that we may try to go to. Some way of feeling not so alone in the allergy fight would be nice!! :) Thanks to all of our family and friends who have been so supportive of us for the past four years!! We appreciate all the times you have adjusted to our needs, and made Noah, especially, not feel so different from everyone else. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
