My Boys

We had a great weekend just spending time together. I worked on Friday night, but managed to wake up on Saturday and have some time to do some family things. Jeff and I had the crazy idea to try out our bikes again with the bike trailer (thanks, Sonia!!). It has been since college, I believe, that I have been on my bike! But I guess "it's just like riding a bike" is true. We both realized how horribly out of shape we were on our ride around the neighborhood, but all had a fun time. We took a break at a playground about halfway through, since my legs felt like they were on fire!! After how rubber-legged and sore I was during and after the ride, I am surprised to not be that achy today. The boys loved riding in the trailer, and we plan to try to get out at least a few evenings a week...at least try to get into shape!! :)

Then this afternoon, we took the boys to the indoor swimming pool at the community center. It has a nice shallow play area with fountains, waterfalls, and a slide, and also a lap pool and lazy river (Noah's favorite). Then when the kids are a little older, they have some big slides and a diving well too!! We played there for a couple of hours. Wyatt wasn't real sure of the water, and whimpered for at least the first half hour or so, but then didn't want to get out! Noah loved every minute, and didn't want to leave either, until he slid on the wet ground and landed smack down on his back and head. He seems to be fine now, and wasn't complaining of any pain anywhere tonight, so I think he will be alright...a little scary though!!

I didn't get a chance to write about the Fourth, but Noah and I enjoyed the parade, while Daddy and Wyatt stayed home for naptime. Then we all went to the fireworks, keeping the boys up much past their bedtime. Noah thought the fireworks were "so cool," Wyatt thought the fireworks were much too scary. He watched with covered ears and a look of fear the whole time, but luckily no crying!! We did get a cute self portrait of all of us at the fireworks though. Somehow managed to get everyone in this time!

It's been so nice to spend time with ALL my boys!!
(I hope to add a 19 month update post on Wyatt soon!)
